If you were to ask me which record sums up Timedance best, it would definitely be this. Low subs, varied but cohesive tunes & mind bending sound design; it can all be found here. Groundwork especially is quintessential Batu/Timedance. Considering what Timedance went on to achieve as well as how young Batu was at the time of this release; it's impressive how much went right at this early stage. Monolith has always been the stand out track for me with its complete disregard for having propulsive dancefloor energy and instead showcasing spaced out soundscapes. The rest of the EP is a brilliant example of "deconstructed club", but for me Monolith is really the reason to keep coming back to this Bingle Beats

works with literally every song in tempo, can be EQ'd to fit into literally everything in the same tempo. I tried it and it's a great crossover track between genres. You can double down on the "weird, swap to basically anything. It's an insanely good track for a pocket track to go to if the first one doesn't work out and so on. SB
